Maranoa Regional Council
On the 15th March 2008, the councils of Bendemere, Booringa, Bungil, Warroo Shire and Roma Town Council's amalgamated to form the Roma Regional Council.
A new era begins today (26 June 2009) in western Queensland following Local Government Minister Desley Boyle’s announcement that the Roma Regional Council is no more. Ms Boyle council’s new name, Maranoa Regional Council, is now official.
